Soulful Occupational Therapy Services for Children & Families
With over a decade of experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist, I offer holistic, spiritually-attuned consultations for Muslim parents who are seeking clarity and support for their child’s development. Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis or simply wondering why something feels "off," you're not alone.

Soulful Occupational Therapy Services with Sameera
This is a space where we explore not just what is happening, but why—and how to move forward with confidence, compassion, and soul-aligned support. Too often, parents are handed a diagnosis with little guidance on what it means — or how to truly help their child thrive.
This service is designed to help you:
Understand your child’s development from a whole-person, root-cause perspective
Explore how nervous system patterns, sensory needs, and emotional regulation impact learning, behavior, and connection
Clarify whether your child may benefit from formal evaluations or school-based supports
Review and interpret existing IPP/IEP or 504 plans through a functional and spiritually-grounded lens
Learn how to advocate effectively for your child within the school system
I support families navigating:
Autism Spectrum Disorders
ADHD
Sensory Processing Differences
Developmental Delays
Learning Disabilities
Emotional Regulation Challenges
Behavioral concerns in school or at home
Suspected abuse
"Something feels off, but we don’t know what it is"
Who This Is For:
Parents of children who have received a diagnosis and want to go deeper than a list of symptoms
Families who are noticing challenges in their child’s behavior, emotions, or development—but aren’t sure where to begin
Muslim parents seeking guidance that integrates therapeutic expertise with spiritual wisdom and compassion

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these therapy sessions for my child?
These consultations are not formal OT treatment. They are for parents and caregivers seeking professional insight, developmental guidance, and advocacy support. If direct therapy for your child is appropriate, we’ll explore your options—whether in-person or online—based on your child’s needs and local regulations.
I’m not familiar with Occupational Therapy, what is this?
Occupational therapy (OT) plays a crucial role in supporting the development of children and youth by focusing on enhancing their ability to participate in everyday activities that are essential for their growth and well-being. “Occupation” means meaningful activity, which is pretty much anything a child or youth does during their day. Through personalized interventions, occupational therapists help children and youth navigate developmental milestones, adapt to their environments, and build the foundations for a healthy and fulfilling life. Sameera’s career as an OT involves children, youth, and adults; she spent the initial years of her career as a school-based Occupational Therapist.
Are sessions conducted online?
Yes. All sessions are held in a confidential and secure online space via Zoom. A link will be sent to you after booking.
Do you offer refunds or cancellations?
Due to the time, preparation, and personalized nature of this service, cancellations are not permitted and no refunds are provided. If you're unsure whether this is the right fit, you’re welcome to reach out with questions before booking.
Do you incorporate Islamic values and parenting approaches?
Absolutely! I approach child development as part of the soul’s journey and honor the trust (amanah) placed in parents. We’ll explore parenting strategies that support emotional regulation, spiritual grounding, and compassionate structure—so you can lead your family with confidence and calm.
Can I consult with you even if my child hasn’t been diagnosed?
Yes. Many families I work with simply sense that something isn’t right and are seeking clarity and next steps. Diagnoses can be helpful—but they’re not required to begin the journey of understanding and support.
